BioHi. I've been here for a while, so I thought I'd introduce myseif. I'm rosethorn59, aka Pam. I love LOTR, of course. A major passion of mine. I'm a big Aragorn and Legolas fan, angst, thus I belong to MC. I also really like the OAA group. I graduated from UNL many years ago and had a major in Anthropology/Archaelogy. I really loved it and went on a few major digs and really had a great time. Fun stuff! I also minored in European History, German, art, photography and Wildlife Management. Lots of minors. At one point I was planning on majoring in German and teaching it, but I changed my mind. Genealogy is probably my biggest passion of all. I've been working on all my family lines (exponentially you know!)for 31 years and it never stops fascinating me. I have helped a lot of friends and family through the years find lots of interesting relatives. I love history, about the lives these early ancestors led, I love it. I also love anything to do with the Middle Ages. I belonged to a group called the Society for Creative Anachronism, which is just what it says. Recreating an entire lifetime (weekends mainly) around the Middle ages and renaissance. All done in a completely canonical manner. Everything is man made and extremely accurate. Lots of research goes into this group., This group is quite fascinating. I learned about archery from this group and have been shooting about 20 years now. I'm afraid that's my only sport; well, maybe next to walking or running after my two lovely nephews. I adore music, movies old and new, and I am absolutely obsessed with this clunky thing I am typing on at the moment. I wish they'd have had these when I was younger; I had to learn how to type on an old manual typewriter and wow was it exciting when they came out with electric typewriters! I'm afraid my journal entries are going to be a little long and run-onny ( love creating new words) because I love to type cause that's the way I am!! Oh, Spike is one of my heroes, too. HUGE Buffy fan. Oh, and by the way; Sivan; You will have to fight me for Legolas and I know how to use a bow, so you better be fast...lolol ...um...writing is way up there, too!!!!!
